Fall

October 17 2014 – Mercantile London

All you need to know for Fall - Introducing the pieces that will take you into Autumn and through to the other side...

Faux Fur

This seasons faux fur pieces aren't in anyway about replicating the real thing, but a great way to add a layer of texture to your winter blacks. This isn't about being serious, go for those pieces that make you smile.

The midi skirt

This length update is everywhere this season, in all permutations of print, heavy wool and leather.
We love a print teamed with a matching co-ord or any kind of knit. It's length makes it super comfortable and can be worn easily with tights. If you are happy in heels then go for it, but the length also looks great with a flat, chunky brogue or trainer/bare leg combo, when spring rolls around again.

The Classic Coat

As long as its slim cut, single breasted and in tones of camel, grey or navy you are on the right track this season.
This coat by Scandi brand, Second Female  (they know how to do clean and minimal), works over everything and we mean everything. We have worn it with trainers and jogging pants and over a party dress and it all worked. Love it.

The Checked Trouser

Following on from the clean cut vibe above, 60's mod was a massive influence amongst the designers on the  AW14 catwalks, with many sending out variations of the era's key shapes such as the slim cut trouser, tunic dress and polo neck.
Whilst we aren't looking to replicate the look, we are loving the nod to mod in these checked slim leg tailored trousers by Just Female.
Add a lurex sock (see in store for fantastic Numph versions) and a classic ankle boot like the Emma Go Akira boot below.
