Focus on... Decadorn

We take great pride in sourcing brands with a story and passing that on in-store (we know our stuff and love to talk) so we decided to feature a 'focus on...' series, introducing you to the people, inspirations and detail behind some our best selling brands and why we just love them so.
Founder Helen Bailey discovered a niche in the market for unique jewellery pieces at an affordable price and so launched Decadorn, a London based jewellery brand which uses semi-precious stones left in their natural state.
Decadorn use 9k and 14k dipped gold for their pendants, chains and band rings. The crystals are sourced from Brazil.
Drusy - "Drusy" refers to the tiny crystal which is formed within or on another stone in a large number. When the ground water that carries dissolved silica is forced to to get filled into a porous area of rock, rapid cooling occurs and it causes the formation of minute small sparkling quartz crystals in tiny cavities. This results in a delicate, shimmering sparkle.
Tumbled - This process forms a rounded and highly polished stone which are super comfortable to hold.
Geode - Plain rock on the outside, beautiful part hollow inside, the geode stones are then sliced and polished which leaves a crystalline edge around the inside of the pendant.
Slice - The stone is sliced and hand polished leaving the natural form of the stone at the tip of the pendant and showcasing the beautiful layers of the stone.
Stalactites - Formed when a single drop of mineral rich water falls from the ceiling of a cave, leaving behind a tiny ring shaped calcium deposit. With each subsequent drop, tiny mineralised rings build on top of one another to eventually form an icicle-like column of crystals.
Our favourites ? - The statement rings. Hand carved from a single piece of crystal, no two are ever the same.
