Get Lost // Pre Fall
Posted on June 13 2019
The Stine Goya pre fall collection is inspired by the poem “Map Piece” by Yoko Ono which encourages an exploration into the unknown and alludes to the journey that lies ahead.
“We are excited to present a collection that reflects the moment we are in as a brand and draws on elements from our DNA. It unites our past with the present and sets the tone for our new direction, as an international brand with Scandinavian roots.”
- Stine Goya Hertz, Creative Director.
A heritage vein runs throughout the collection, with references to the city of Copenhagen where the Stine Goya adventure began. This can be seen in the colour palette that mirrors the cityscape. Printed floral jacquard and a dust of glitter have made its way into the ready to wear, adding a touch of understated occasion to the daily wardrobe. While colourful knits are perfectly paired with light summer dresses for trans-seasonal weather.
A play on perspective forms the print picture, which consist of landscapes seen from an aerial view alongside vintage maps. While the floral prints are reminiscent of the untouched and unexplored; the flora of open fields and pastures. Bright colours and pastel hues clash on the palette, where bold meets calm, and adventure meets tranquillity. The colours of summer are faded and paired with a crisp and bright autumnal streak.
