The New Jewellery Trends to Know
Posted on October 02 2018
Fall/Winter accessories were full of inspiring looks that complimented the collections, with several strong trends emerging to take us into the new season.
Chunky round shapes dominated and variations on an eighties street style hoop were every where, with a 'bigger the better' vibe. Rarely seen in silver, gold was the finish of choice.
The single earring.
A favourite Scandi styling trick that has been around for a few seasons and the basis of many jewellery collections - a single showstopping earring was balanced out by a simple stud or mis-matched other.
Layering + charms.
As with big is better, more is more with the designers layering on piles of chains, playing with plate finishes, texture and shape. Personalised charms with hidden meanings were also added to the mix and worn every day.
Feminine, glamorous shapes with a hint of thirties glamour, appeared in oversized chandelier shapes with semi precious stones providing the colour.
