Kings of Indigo

The Kings of Indigo started in an Amsterdam attic in mid 2010. The first collection was launched in Berlin in July 2011. The name derived from founder Tony Tonnaer’s favorite tattoo, which was a koi fish on his right shoulder in remembrance of his mother. Koi, in Japan, stands for luck, love, and perseverance. The koi are intelligent creatures that tend to swim against the stream that is a metaphor for the rebellion that comes with a denim lifestyle. The brand is known for strong quality basics inspired by American classics with a Japanese eye for detail. The Kings want you to wear your jeans with pride!
