May 02 2014 – Mercantile London

Based in Portugal, the Christophe Sauvat line has made quite an impact on us here at Mercantile London. The collection includes beautifully made dresses, kaftan tops, pants, shorts and accessories decorated with ancient traditional forms of printing and embroidery.
The designers influences include the city life of New York, Paris and London and the beach lifestyle of Bali, India and Morocco which translates into luxe modern shapes and styling, verses intense colour pops, splashes of print and beautiful embroidered detailing on necklines and garment edges.

Mercantile favourites include the amazing reef denim overalls, which we are wearing around town with battered vintage tees and our trusty Sol Sanas and the paisley dress which for a chic summer wedding outfit, needs nothing more than the addition of a great pair of sunnies. We are currently liking the clash of Sheriff and Cherry's wildcat pair.
