Founded in Dallas, Texas in 1982, Autry, "the shoe with the American flag", gained recognition in the North American market thanks to a number of technical innovations, and winning top ratings as the finest shoe in the sports division, in both Tennis Magazine and Runners World.
The brand’s strategy was that of creating a line of sport-specific shoes : tennis, running, and aerobic, and a targeted advertising campaign, and in just a few years Autry had became one of the bestselling athletic shoe brands in eighties North America.
In 2019 the brand had an international relaunch, with the complete range of Autry "Medalist" presented for Spring Summer 2020 to premium customers worldwide, with the designers keeping the original box illustration from its heyday.
Last season’s best selling style, the Low (with a perforated toe for better breathability) is available again in a navy collar option, we also have the Autry low in orange leather, which comes with a perforated leather upper and seamed multi-layer suede inserts, and finally the Dallas, again a 1980s vintage style low-top silhouette, but with a clean leather upper design, with exposed seams and a smooth toe for an even more minimal, fresh appearance.
