Traditional crafts are very important to the economy of Kashmir, a region that has many challenges and our supplier provides valued employment to 500 people. The artisan painters benefit from good wages and are able to work at home which enables them to look after family commitments around work. The business also funds the education of multiple families of their workers. There is no child labour and workers are able to raise any employment concerns and have the right to join trade unions and bargain collectively.
