70's

April 22 2015 – Mercantile London

Whilst you may not like it (especially if like us you were there the first time around) the seventies influence is very much with us this summer season. Whilst you can indulge in the glamorous studio 54 side of the trend after dark (look to Gucci and think rust, double denim and those Saint Laurent platforms) for a more everyday take we are being inspired by the nomadic influence and artisan craftsmanship of brands such as Christophe Sauvat, Vintage by Fe, People Tree, JeS and House of Wandering Silk with their bright prints, dyes and embroideries, which are influenced by travels around the world. Pair with dark denim, delicate cream lace, soft suede and battered leather for a soft focus, Woodstock feel.
