Guest Edit - Tanaka's Seasonal Wish List

Founded in 2019 by Leonara Manyangadze, TANAKA is a handmade soap brand. Tanaka (n.) [tah-nah-kah] is a Zimbabwean Shona name, meaning 'we are good', and it is this sentiment that guides their mission. TANAKA make bars of soap to benefit skin health and boost wellbeing and, in doing so, rid the world of plastic waste.

Being fans of her beautifully curated Instagram feed, we asked Tanaka founder, Leonara to select her wish list of seasonal favourites from the Mercantile family of brands and designers.

Baggu Dopp Kit Leopard Honey Bag

"I love all things Baggu because they make really cute bags that encourage people to want to be more sustainable."

Une a Une Trio Ring

"This ring is perfect because it will go with any skin tone, any outfit, any aesthetic - I'm just really drawn to it."

Shyla Thin Snake Chain

"I think there's something so elegant about a classic chain necklace, and this one is done so well."

Bloomingville White Stoneware Vase

"I love how unique this vase is, you don't even really have to put anything in it for it to still make a statement in your home."

Wax + Wick Sea Salt & Oak Candle

"I mean what can I say, I love a good candle. The scent combination here is really intriguing, and I think it would be perfect for winter."

Baum Und Pferdgarten Aidine Blue Gingham Dress

"This is a bit out of my comfort zone style wise, but I'm so drawn to it still! I want to wear this to the first party I'm able to go to once all of this is over."
