Founded in 2019 by Leonara Manyangadze, TANAKA is a handmade soap brand. Tanaka (n.) [tah-nah-kah] is a Zimbabwean Shona name, meaning 'we are good', and it is this sentiment that guides their mission. TANAKA make bars of soap to benefit skin health and boost wellbeing and, in doing so, rid the world of plastic waste.
Being fans of her beautifully curated Instagram feed, we asked Tanaka founder, Leonara to select her wish list of seasonal favourites from the Mercantile family of brands and designers.
