Facing the task of discovering a new gifting idea each year can be overwhelming, however with a store full of innovative, independent brands and a strong focus on the crafted, we hope our ideas below may spark inspiration for those on your list.
Style is personal and predicting reactions to gifts can be tricky, but over the years of selecting our collections, the pieces that never fail to spark a positive reaction seem to have certain defining factors; maximum wearability, a pop of colour, small batch production and/or an under the radar brand. So we've curated a highlight of your favorites, what we feel passionate about, and some of our most unique finds. All (we feel!) are guaranteed to be appreciated when opened on Christmas morning.
Norfolk Natural Living was borne out of the idea of a slow-luxury home care and wellbeing brand, designed to bring a little beauty and even pleasure to your daily rituals. As an aromatherapist, founder Bella Middleton, has always been fascinated with the benefits plants can have on our wellbeing, which is why she has put nature and craftsmanship at the core of Norfolk Natural Living. Every formulation is bottled by hand and they use only natural ingredients formulated with therapeutic blends, designed to improve your wellbeing. The perfumery and workshop is nestled in a small historic town in Norfolk, England, surrounded by the beautifully scented lavender fields and white sandy beaches for which the Norfolk landscape is famous and which is a constant source of inspiration. All of the products are biodegradable, and non-toxic, using plant based ingredients and never tested on animals.
Pru is a newly launched, independent homewares brand and design consultancy based in North London. The owner Nancy, has designed for some of the world's leading luxury fashion and interior brands and trend forecasters over the last 15 years but decided now is the time to go solo!
With a small yet incredible team, Pru offers an intimate collection of contemporary and sustainable homewares, combining influences from her love of travel, print and colour and minimalist design.
The brands plant wax candle collection is an exciting collaboration with sustainably focused and environmentally responsible ceramicists. The materials used are biodegradable, reusable, cruelty free and vegan friendly, whilst hand poured in the UK in small batches.
Using coffee cups for this collection aligns perfectly with Pru’s brand ethos - everything to be re used, recycled and loved for many years! They have worked with a sustainably focused, family run mill in Portugal to produce the beautiful stoneware cups that house the candle. Each one is handmade in small batches, with its own individuality so no two cups are the same. Simply use the candle, remove any remaining plant wax then enjoy drinking from your cup over and over again.
